So we have to start as soon as possible you know it is the shortest month of the year. My question is when is Latino history month or Asian history month or You get the picture. Maybe it is time. I know! I know! Roosevelt you sure have been bringin the noise bringin the funk lately.

Well you know maybe it is that whole law of attraction thing ,but long story short after the last post I can’t believe how un-diverse the media is. I am just saying. So yes I am a little perturbed but I will work to give energy to positive stuff. So onward and upward!

Today I would like to start the month off with the one the only President Barack Obama. No matter how they talk about him he is doing his job yall. I don’t know about you ,but have you noticed the economy improving. I mean he just got the job a year ago and we are already turning this thing around. I am just saying.

Don’t get it twisted! We will have Health Care Reform even though some people are trying to keep un insured from being insured. Well, one thing at a time. So bout this important African American first off you need to pick up these books and read for yourselves.

I am not going to tell you a thing! Get the books.

So I am usually objective when it comes to politics. (LOL!) This however is absolutely ridiculous. How does this keep happening. Are we as minorities so use to this type of rhetoric that we don’t even flinch when someone says this crap. Where is the outrage? Where is the rising up of people to say enough is enough? Have we become that complacent? Have we become so resigned that we don’t even respond? Have we become so accepting of these repeated racial slurs and slanders that we accept them as par for the course?

I hope not! I hope that we wake up and start demanding better of our media and of our pundits. Maybe it is time for some diversity in media. I mean maybe we need more Connie Chungs on the panels. Maybe it is time for more Roland Martins or maybe a Muslim News anchor to respond to comments like these.

Maybe we need to stop watching these stations and stop supporting their advertisers. Maybe it is time to put some action behind our words! Maybe when someone says this.

They should lose their jobs forever. Not just temporarily!!

Maybe we should not only stop supporting them because as we learned that is not enough. Maybe we should start supporting people that we want to see. Supporting them with our dollars and our sense! Pun intended!!

So you have to see this video. I am not one to talk about the negative ,but I see this as a learning opportunity children. So gather around. Seems that you can’t go any where without hearing about Haiti. From the ever so mindless words of Pat Roberts

(How anyone can continue to watch and or support this man boggles the mind.) to the dollars for Haiti canisters at the Salvation army and at your local elementary school, Haiti is the worry of the day. You know a wise man once said. Focus on doing the things that you want to do in life. Focus on your goals and dreams and your family and your community and leave the worrying and fretting to those who like to worry about such things. There will always be a crisis and there will always be a need/cry of injustice or disaster to fill the time for those who have nothing to do. So if you have nothing to do then keep watching these stories and giving this obvious catastrophe your energy. However, if you are not going to go to Haiti and help rebuild houses with Habitat For Humanity, or work with an international aid organization to assist in humanitarian aid, or adopt a newly orphaned Haitian child. Then give your money to the charity of your choice and go on with your life. There are people right here that need assistance. Some of them may be in your immediate family. By helping yourself you help others. Besides, what do you gain from worrying about something that you cannot do anything about? What do the people that you are worrying about gain from you worrying about them? I think we all know the answer.

Nothing!!

In closing people there will always be something to worry about and if you spend your time and energy constantly worrying about things that you are not going to do anything about you just might wake up at the end of your time here on earth wondering “Where all of the time went.” Do for you and by doing that you will indirectly do for others. Very Republican I know! Obama 2012!!!! Don’t get it twisted!
