So, how can we as black people get over our fear of technology? It seems that every person I know, with the exception of a select few, are aware of the abundance and wealth that lies in technology and on the internet. People are making six figure salaries from home using the web. Everyday millionaires are made by people writing books that they have always wanted to write. Artists all over the world are recording and releasing albums that they wanted to record and release previously, but could not find a record company that would sign them.

Did you know that you can record your own album and upload the .MP3, .Wav, or .AIFF files on the web and start selling for as little as uhh… FREE! You can do it professionally and be on Itunes for as little as 35 dollars per album and I think that includes a barcode so that you can track how many albums you have sold. So, if money is tight put all of the songs that you have ever recorded on one album. Hey, you know we can make a dollar stretch! Hola! Trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents – Shock G (Look it up! Actually don’t! The message from the song isn’t exactly where blacks are going. So why give it energy!)

Now, I remember the days when we would hear stories of M.C. Hammer, Master P, Russel Simmons/Run DMC, The Fat Boys and many others, earning hundreds of thousands of dollars a year selling cd’s out of the trunk of their car. Now we hear Little Wayne, Kanye West, T-pain and many others selling millions of albums a week via the internet. Still afraid of the web and computers? My mother swears that she will never have a computer in her house. She also refuses to have a cell phone for fear of people being able to know her information. My Auntie is looking to publish her children’s books and is still writing books freehand. That is not a problem, but what is a problem is that they both want a better life. The sad part is that they are always three feet from financial disaster. Do you know that feeling?

Well thanks to the internet. You don’t have to! So let’s begin learning how to make money doing whatever we want to do using the internet.

Those of you who are still thinking “But this internet thing is very dangerous, and I am not sure that I want to take a risk.” The best quote that I have ever heard was from an author and millionaire by the name of T. Harv Eker “Think about what it is costing you to be poor!”

Do this, think of the internet as a trunk as big as the globe. Because, metaphorically that is all that it is. The internet is a big trunk and if you learn how to use it and I am going to show you how for free you can make enough money to never have to work for someone else again. It is time to stop the fear and start manifesting your success! So I am going to start by giving you facts not fiction about the wonderful world-wide-web.

Why? Because more black millionaires means more diversity in every aspect of American life. Our wonderful President Barack Obama used technology and the web to become the first African American in the White House. (Which, he wanted to change to the People’s House. Look It UP! I would vote for that! I LOVE IT! ) If that is not a sign of the times I don’t know what is.
